Welcome to Venu Madhuri
We started in February 2000 from Ramanwadi village, one of the isolated villages in the Western Ghats, located in Radhanagri taluka of Kolhapur district, Maharashtra. Today, we are working in Ramanwadi, Bhari Bhambar, Ghosarwad, Khotwadi, and Uttare.
Our work is to build the Ramanwadi community into a self-sufficient unit and support the community by providing know-how, inspiration, counseling, manpower, materials, and funds. Today, Ramanwadi has become a role model for other villages to follow.
Our Mission
We shall strive with sincerity to promote integrated and sustainable rural development based on traditional, time-tested wisdom. Our aim is to achieve local self-sufficiency, with special emphasis on the preservation of indigenous breeds of cattle, while fostering the highest human values.
