The theme of two days conference was Acharanam Indic Wisdom for Sustainable Lifestyle, hosted by Indus University in collaboration with LiFE (Lifestyle For Environment). Topic for my presentation was Rural Reconstruction - The Indic Way, under the session titled Lok parampara, Agriculture and Self-Reliant Villages. Recommendations were requested in our area of expertise, for the formulation of public policy. We have submitted 9 recommendations based on our 23 years of rural reconstruction work. It was great learning and sharing experience, with the 19 other eminent speakers from all over India on the following five themes – Shastric foundation of ecological consciousness Lok-parampara, health and ecology Economic sutras and sustainable lifestyle Science, sustainability and Indic wisdom Lok-parampara, agriculture and self-reliant villages

Venu-Madhuri presentation was invited at IISF by Dr. Vijay P Bhatkar. IISF is India’s largest gathering on science and technology, organized by Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Earth Sciences and Vigyan Bharti at CSIR-National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi. 21 Nations participated in IISF-2016. There was also a 2 day NGO-Conclave for nationwide selected NGOs.

NIRD at Hyderabad is institution of GOI for training into rural development. They organized two days National Seminar on "Livestock based livelihood for rural transformation-Special focus on cow based livelihood interventions" Venu-Madhuri was invited and was given a half hour slot for presentation of its Ramanwadi work. NIRDs Director General Mr. Reddy (IAS) after presentation applauded the work. Dr. K. Haranath Reddy, Director of TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam) Goshala was also present.
